The ARCHERY CAPRA WORLD SLAM is a MASSIVE achievement! The challenge is to harvest 12 different species of Capra from around the world, all done with a bow. These hunts are a serious test of strength, skill, and perseverance, as it requires hunting in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
That Pedro has accomplished this with his PSE bow is an amazing achievement. This is just a tease of what’s to come, so be sure to check back on December 11th for the full story!
Congratulations to PSE’s very own Alexander Kirillov for being selected as one of USA Archery’s 2018 Developmental Coaches of the Year…
“Alexander takes young, aspiring archers and helps turn them into champions. His JOAD club provides a great learning experience for both beginner and experienced archers. His experience and knowledge of the sport is second to none. Coach is always positive and encouraging to his students and anyone that is around him. His professionalism is always on display. He is loved and respected by his students.”
Coach Kirillov has been at the head of Precision Shooter’s JOAD for decades, and he has led multiple students to compete at the highest levels, including the Olympics.
What a weekend for Team PSE at the ASA event in Paris, TX! Lewis Holmes III, Christopher Perkins and Stephan Hansen all headed into the shootoff, with Holmes and Perkins taking the 1st and 2nd spots in Known Pro, while Connor Sears also took home the top spot in K45!
Congrats to every member of Team PSE in competition this weekend!
Each week, PSE spotlights one of our amazing dealers or staff shooters. This week it’s young up and coming PSE shooter, Kyle Douglas…
Shooter: Kyle Douglas from Harrisville, UT
Bow: PSE Xpression – Shooting PSE: 6 years
1. How did you get into archery?
I started it in a kid’s league and then transitioned into bowhunting. Eventually, I started doing local tournaments and things just kept going from there.
2. Why do you shoot PSE?
When I was first getting into target archery I tried a bunch of different bows and nothing felt as good as the PSE. Their bow designs just fit me best. I like the way they shoot and they’ve always worked out for me…I’ve never thought about switching to anything else.
3. Do you hunt as well?
Yep. I love hunting elk, it’s my favorite game by far.
4. Do you prefer indoor tournaments, Field Archery or 3D?
I don’t have a preference; I need all the experience I can get. I shoot whatever is available to me locally, I’ve shot Vegas, Lancaster, ATA, some outdoor target stuff. Right now I shoot everything I can.
5. What’s your proudest moment as a competitive archer?
Winning Young Adult in Vegas back in 2015.
6. What advice would you give other competitive archers just starting out?
There are so many different thing you can focus on…getting your bow set-up correctly is an easy one. But my biggest piece of advice is to find a coach you trust and focus on their advice. Sometimes you can get to the point where you listen to too many people and things can get jumbled. Pick one good coach and stick with their advice.
7. What are your goals for the next five years of competition?
Get more experience. Compete at the highest level every shoot. Podium at some high profile events.
8. What makes the PSE brand unique in your opinion?
They stand behind their product, and they have something to offer for everyone. Top level professional shooters, kids, traditional archers. PSE does it all and stands behind every product.
Thanks to Kyle Douglas for taking the time out to speak to us this week. Best of luck at your next shoot, Kyle!
One week after winning the Men’s Pro at the ASA Championships, Nathan Brooks wins the 2016 IBO World Championship, shooting 21 up with 27 11s. Nathan needed an 11 on his final target to take the win, and he stepped up and got it done like the champion he is!
Team PSE’s Tim Gillingham came in a close 2nd behind Brooks, shooting 20 up with a whopping 28 11s! Tim also won 2016 IBO shooter of the year.
The Drury Outdoors Team is having an AMAZING season with their PSE bows!! 12 bucks killed in the last four days…but Mark Drury set the record with his PSE, taking the largest deer with a bow in DOD History and of his life! 211 5/8” Whitetail in Iowa!

PSE Archery (Precision Shooting Equipment, Inc.) is proud to announce that sales veteran Paul Beck has joined our team as Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast territory, including upstate New York/New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Paul brings with him 27 years of proven sales success, and comes to PSE after four years with Parker Bows and fifteen years as a top 5% performer in the fundraising and motivational speaker marketplace.
A devoted hunter and fisherman for the last 30 years, Paul’s very first bow was a PSE, and he is excited to join a company that has impacted his life as a hunter.
According to Beck, “No one gets into archery because it’s easy, they get into it because they are passionate about it. In the archery business hard work, great customer service, and great communication are a must, but you also need a fantastic product as well. PSE has a great product and I’m excited to become part of such a great company.”
A family man in addition to a hunter, Paul enjoys cooking and working his farm in upstate New York. Paul has been married for 20 years and has two children.
“It’s important for our Regional Sales Managers to both have a record of success and to be people of high character,” stated Blake Shelby, VP of Sales and Marketing for PSE. “We are excited for Paul to be joining us and we think our dealers in his area are going to be equally excited to start working with him.”
We’re all told about how great an easy, long valley is on a bow…but do we know what that actually does to our shot? In the first of our ongoing video series, PSE puts our Dream Season Decree to the test with the Elite Synergy.
